CONTRIBUTOR TERMS
These Contributor Terms govern the submission, review, acceptance, editing, use, publication, licensing, withdrawal and related treatment of materials submitted to KANG SEORYUN™ at kangseoryun.com, whether for editorial consideration, creator review, feature consideration, collaboration, publication, campaign use, visual use or other approved purposes.
These Terms should be read together with our Terms of Sale & Use, Editorial, Features & Disclosures Policy, Privacy Notice, Copyright & DMCA Policy, Feature Requests page, Creator Application page and any separate written agreement, release form or project-specific terms issued by us.

1. Scope and Application
1.1 These Terms apply to any person who submits, uploads, sends, delivers, pitches or otherwise provides any material to KANG SEORYUN™ for review, consideration, publication, collaboration, feature inclusion, editorial use, promotional use or related purposes.
1.2 These Terms apply whether the material is submitted through a form, by e-mail, by message, through a linked platform, by transfer service, through a representative or by any other channel accepted by us.
1.3 These Terms apply unless a separate written agreement expressly governs the relevant submission, collaboration or commissioned work. Where a separate written agreement applies, that agreement prevails to the extent of any inconsistency.
2. Contributor Status
2.1 A Contributor includes any creator, artist, photographer, stylist, editor, musician, singer, writer, model, brand representative, publicist, manager, agency representative, collaborator or other person who submits or supplies materials to KANG SEORYUN™.
2.2 Submission of material does not create any employment relationship, agency relationship, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary relationship or exclusive arrangement between you and KANG SEORYUN™ unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.
3. Contributed Materials
3.1 Contributed material may include, without limitation:
- photographs;
- videos;
- audio;
- music-related promotional materials;
- interview responses;
- written statements;
- biographies;
- lookbook materials;
- portfolio materials;
- pitch decks;
- design materials;
- visual treatments;
- product imagery;
- artwork;
- campaign materials;
- press releases;
- media kits;
- social media handles;
- links or embeds;
- other editorial or promotional materials.
3.2 We may accept, reject, ignore, review, archive, remove or decline any contributed material at our sole discretion.
4. Submission Requirements
4.1 By submitting any material, you represent and warrant that:
- you own the material or control all rights, permissions and consents necessary to submit it;
- the submission and any proposed use by KANG SEORYUN™ as contemplated by these Terms will not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, performer, contractual or other right of any third party;
- the material is not unlawful, defamatory, misleading, maliciously false, obscene, abusive or otherwise objectionable;
- all information provided by you is accurate, current and not misleading in any material respect;
- any person identifiable in the material has provided all required consent, approval or release documentation where applicable;
- any music, image, video, artwork, logo, likeness, quotation or third-party material included in the submission is lawfully included and appropriately cleared.
4.2 If you submit material on behalf of another person, artist, business, label, group or entity, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to do so.
5. No Obligation to Publish or Proceed
5.1 Submission of material does not guarantee review, response, acceptance, publication, feature placement, collaboration, payment, credit, future invitation, continued relationship or any other outcome.
5.2 KANG SEORYUN™ has no obligation to publish, use, preserve, return, maintain, continue displaying or continue considering any submitted material.
5.3 We reserve full discretion over whether, how, when, where and in what form any submission is used, featured, credited, edited, published, scheduled, delayed or withdrawn.
6. Editorial and Creative Control
6.1 If a submission is accepted for editorial, feature, promotional or platform use, KANG SEORYUN™ retains full discretion over selection, sequencing, layout, formatting, cropping, headline treatment, excerpting, captioning, labeling, visual presentation, publication timing and related editorial treatment.
6.2 We may edit submitted material for clarity, formatting, grammar, style, consistency, length, visual coherence, publication suitability, legal compliance, brand consistency or technical requirements.
6.3 No contributor is entitled to dictate final publication format, page placement, publication timing, editorial framing, visual hierarchy, commercial labeling or continued display unless expressly agreed in writing.
7. Licence to Use Submitted Materials
7.1 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, by submitting material to KANG SEORYUN™, you grant KANG SEORYUN™ a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable licence to receive, review, reproduce, store, host, format, crop, resize, adapt for technical and editorial purposes, publish, display, distribute, archive and otherwise use the submitted material in connection with:
- internal review;
- editorial consideration;
- feature preparation;
- publication on the Website;
- publication on associated pages or operated channels;
- promotional use relating to the relevant feature, campaign, creator, artist, brand or collaboration;
- archival display;
- lawful operational or compliance purposes connected with the submission.
7.2 This licence applies only to the extent reasonably necessary for the purposes above unless a broader or narrower licence is expressly agreed in writing.
7.3 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, ownership of the submitted material is not transferred to KANG SEORYUN™ solely by virtue of submission.
8. Credit and Attribution
8.1 Where we elect to publish or use submitted material, we may provide credit in the manner we consider appropriate, subject to formatting constraints, editorial structure, campaign design, platform limitations, legal requirements or instructions expressly agreed in writing.
8.2 You are responsible for supplying accurate preferred credit details where credit is desired or required.
8.3 Failure to provide credit in a particular format, or the correction of a credit after publication, does not by itself constitute infringement, misrepresentation or breach where the omission or variation arises from formatting, technical, editorial or administrative reasons and is corrected where reasonably appropriate.
9. Releases, Permissions and Supporting Documentation
9.1 We may require additional releases, consents, clearances, permissions, warranties, proof of authorship, identity verification, rights documentation, model releases, artist releases, location permissions, management approvals or other supporting documentation before using or publishing any submitted material.
9.2 We may refuse to publish, remove from consideration, suspend use of or withdraw any material where such documentation is not provided to our satisfaction.
9.3 Submission of material does not waive our right to require formal paperwork later.
10. Compensation and Commercial Terms
10.1 Unless expressly agreed in writing, submission of material is voluntary and unpaid.
10.2 No compensation, reimbursement, royalty, usage fee, appearance fee, editorial fee, licensing fee or revenue share is owed merely because material was submitted, reviewed, considered or published.
10.3 Where compensation, sponsored placement, commissioned work, paid collaboration, gifted arrangement or commercial consideration applies, the relevant terms must be expressly agreed in writing.
11. Sponsored, Commissioned and Commercial Material
11.1 If contributed material is submitted in connection with a commercial arrangement, campaign, sponsorship, gifted collaboration, affiliate arrangement, commissioned feature or paid editorial placement, you must disclose that fact accurately to us.
11.2 We reserve the right to label, disclose, reclassify, reject or withhold publication of any such material in accordance with our Editorial, Features & Disclosures Policy.
12. Confidential and Unsolicited Materials
12.1 Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, submissions are not treated as confidential.
12.2 You should not submit confidential, commercially sensitive, restricted, embargoed, proprietary or rights-uncleared materials unless expressly requested by us and appropriately documented.
12.3 We are under no obligation to maintain unsolicited submissions in confidence, return them, destroy them on demand or refrain from independently developing or publishing similar themes, ideas, aesthetics, concepts or formats.
13. Withdrawal of Submitted Material
13.1 You may request withdrawal of unpublished submitted material by contacting us through the official contact form made available on the Website.
13.2 Withdrawal requests are assessed subject to operational status, publication status, archival status, legal obligations, third-party dependencies and any agreement already in place.
13.3 If material has already been published, scheduled, licensed, incorporated into a feature, used in promotional material or embedded in archival content, removal may not be immediate, complete or possible in all circumstances.
13.4 We may retain copies of submitted materials and related records where reasonably necessary for record-keeping, audit, compliance, dispute handling, rights verification, enforcement or legal response purposes.
14. Prohibited Submissions
14.1 You must not submit any material that:
- infringes third-party rights;
- is defamatory, fraudulent or misleading;
- contains malicious code, harmful files or unauthorized tracking tools;
- impersonates another person or entity;
- contains unlawful, exploitative, abusive, hateful or obscene content;
- discloses personal data of another person without lawful basis;
- breaches any applicable law or platform rule.
15. Indemnity
15.1 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless KANG SEORYUN™ and its officers, owners, employees, contractors, editors, agents, licensors, service providers and operational partners from and against any claim, demand, loss, damage, liability, cost or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from or relating to:
- your submission of material;
- your breach of these Terms;
- your breach of any representation, warranty or undertaking in these Terms;
- any allegation that the material infringes or violates the rights of any third party;
- any false, misleading or unauthorized information provided by you.
16. Limitation of Liability
16.1 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, KANG SEORYUN™ is not liable for any loss, damage, reputational harm, lost opportunity, lost profit, lost exposure, lost publicity, publication delay, non-publication, removal, re-editing, archiving decision or other consequence arising out of or in connection with your submission of material.
16.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes, limits or waives any non-excludable right or remedy available under applicable law.
17. Suspension, Rejection and Removal
17.1 We may reject, suspend, restrict, remove, archive, unpublish or decline to proceed with any submission or published contributor material at any time where we consider it necessary for legal, editorial, operational, reputational, compliance, rights-related or technical reasons.
17.2 We may also suspend future acceptance of submissions from any contributor who breaches these Terms or whose conduct presents legal, operational or reputational risk.
18. Privacy and Personal Data
18.1 Any personal data processed in connection with a submission, contributor relationship, feature review, editorial coordination or publication process is governed by our Privacy Notice.
18.2 You must ensure that any personal data of another person included in your submission has been lawfully provided and may lawfully be used for the relevant purpose.
19. Changes to These Terms
19.1 We may amend, revise, replace or update these Contributor Terms from time to time by publishing the updated version on the Website.
19.2 The version in force at the time of the relevant submission will generally apply unless a revised version is required by law or expressly stated to apply otherwise.
20. Language
20.1 If these Contributor Terms are translated into another language, the English version shall prevail to the extent permitted by law unless another language version is expressly stated to govern.
